Voting in the referendum – documents and deadlines

Voting by postal ballot

Please note: Your vote must reach the competent authority by 6 p.m. on 31 May.
For postal voting, this means: The voting letter should be posted at least four working days in advance (Wednesday, 27.05.2026)!

Lack of documents?

By May 10, all documents for the referendum on the Hamburg Olympic bid should have been sent.

If you have not yet received the documents, you should contact the person responsible for you. Voting Service Ask them! There you can find the documents up to 31 May at 3 p.m. request. To be sure, you should do this as early as possible!

Voting on 31 May

On the voting day itself, 31.05.2026, you can also vote directly in one of the 178 Votepost (excluding …service…).

This will take place on the voting day from 08:00 until 18:00 at the latest. In which Voting body If you want to leave, you can choose yourself. But you must have it Voting slip From the documents and yours. ID or passport Bring it with you.
