You have worked tirelessly to bring in ideas, attend events, organise information stands, fly, embroider and post, take part in panel discussions, have endless discussions, glue and repair posters – in continuous mode, with too little sleep, in the rain or in too much sun, always active, the days scheduled with NOlympia.

For this I would like to thank you for coming to the SC Sternschanze to celebrate so many times.

It was a lot of work, a lot of invested time, some other things were dispensed with, but the common goal was always to keep the engine going.

We – all together – have succeeded: The little NOlympia clearly defeated the Prolympians.

For me, this shows that Hamburgers know better what is good for this city than the politicians. Arguments count more than pretty pictures with meaningless phrases.

So : THANK YOU – THANK YOU – You were just great!

Best regards, Mo

ST. PAULI says NO to Olympia!

On the Heiligengeistfeld in front of the Millerntor, fans of FC Sankt Pauli form the lettering "NOlympia". The picture is heavily edited.

Numerous fan clubs of FC Sankt Pauli position themselves in a joint statement on Hamburg's Olympic bid:

This year in May As was the case most recently in 2015, Hamburg will once again submit an Olympic bid by referendum to be voted on. Eleven years ago, the hamburgers against Olympia Our fan scene had also clearly positioned itself against it at the time. The conditions have hardly changed since then:

A huge thank you …

Stamp imprint on white paper: "Have done great!"

…an all who have collected with us in the last weeks: The at cold stood outside, Lists printed have, in their friends– and Neighbourhood signatures collected and in their stores and on the work lists construed have.

You are great! ❤️

An important experience was the many conversations, We've been on the streets for the last three weeks. Again and again it became clear: Many people don't want billions in Megaproject flow, the money into the Cash registers less The majority of hamburgers are among the Consequences suffering. Hamburg is already millions for the application from – while in other places saved will: schools and Gymnasiums They are ailing, social institutions Fighting for survival, universities are underfunded. This contradiction moves many people. Olympia doesn't bring the hamburgers together. Olympia is dividing the city.

Our thanks also go to the Supporters of the Olympics, which have signed – from the Democratic persuasion From the fact that also critical voices their place in the Election documents must have.

Who we are

Who or what is NOlympia?

NOlympia is a broad alliance of people from all walks of life. We are united by the conviction that the Olympic & Paralympic Games create more problems for Hamburg than future opportunities.
In 2015, Hamburg voted against the city's Olympic bid. Nevertheless, the Hamburg Senate now wants to apply again for an orientation.
We contrast the Senate's beautifully colored promises with a critical, fact-based perspective.

Why is this important?

On average, Olympic costs are more than twice as high as previously propagated. Paris in 2024 left a hole of around €6.4 billion – a loss that will last for decades. For a city-state like Hamburg, such a risk is intolerable.
Every euro that flows in Olympia is missing in our city. For example, in education, mobility, housing and social facilities.
