A model for Paris? Olympic Games: The other side of the coin

A model for Paris? The other side of the medal with Paul Alauzy and others from the Alliance Le Revers De La Médaille, Paris Wednesday, 15.4. 7:00 pm, Kölibri Hein Köllisch-Platz 12

The Hamburg Senate wants to bring Olympics to Hamburg – and tells everywhere how great the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris in the summer of 2024 were supposedly. What hardly anyone is talking about here: For many people from Paris, the games were anything but a summer fairy tale. Exploding costs, rent increases, barriers and police checks were the side effects of the big event. 20,000 homeless people were forced out of the city in Paris for the games.

We are talking to Paul Alauzy from the ‘Le Revers De La Médaille’ alliance in Paris, which organised protests against the ‘social cleansing’ for the Olympics.
